KISKIMINETAS TOWNSHIP ANNOUNCES HIRING OF NEW TOWNSHIP MANAGER
Kiskiminetas Township, Armstrong County, PA – June 10, 2026 – The Kiskiminetas Township Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. Murray as the Township’s next Township Manager. Mr. Murray will begin his duties on June 22, 2026, at an annual salary of $82,500.
Mr. Murray brings a strong background in public service, local government operations, policy development, and constituent engagement. Most recently, he served as Chief of Staff for Pittsburgh City Council District 7, where he worked closely with elected officials, municipal departments, community organizations, and residents to advance public initiatives and address community needs. He also recently completed his Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
Chairman Bob Ross expressed confidence in the Township’s selection.
“The Board of Supervisors conducted a thorough search process and was impressed by James’ commitment to public service, his understanding of local government, and his vision for community development. We believe he will be an excellent fit for Kiskiminetas Township and will help guide the Township as we continue to improve services and strengthen our community.”
Supervisor Brittany Hilliard highlighted Mr. Murray’s enthusiasm and ability to connect with residents.
“Throughout the interview process, James demonstrated a genuine passion for serving communities and a willingness to listen and collaborate. His experience working with elected officials, community organizations, and residents will be a tremendous asset as we continue moving Kiskiminetas Township forward.”
The Board also recognized the contributions of Jason Dailey and Dailey Operation Consulting LLC, who have provided interim management services to the Township during the transition period.
Chairman Ross added:
“On behalf of the Board of Supervisors and our residents, we would like to thank Jason Dailey and Dailey Operation Consulting for their outstanding service to Kiskiminetas Township. Since January 2025, Jason has provided steady leadership, professional guidance, and operational support during a period of significant transition. His efforts have helped position the Township for continued success, and we are grateful for his commitment to our community.”
Supervisor Hilliard also noted:
“Jason’s work has been instrumental in maintaining continuity of operations while helping the Township address important projects, organizational needs, and strategic initiatives. We sincerely appreciate his dedication and the professionalism he has brought to the Township.”
Mr. Murray stated that he is honored by the opportunity to serve the residents of Kiskiminetas Township and looks forward to working with the Board of Supervisors, Township staff, community organizations, and residents to continue building a strong future for the Township.
